Overview
Life Safety Inspections are conducted at existing businesses to ensure that the workers, occupants who frequent the business, and emergency responders are protected. The purpose of these inspections is to identify potential safety concerns and make the business aware of the required corrective action.
Failure to correct violations of the Code may result in the issuance of a summons into court fines, jail sentences, but may also result in the business insurance carriers denial of any claims. In some cases OSHA may also become involved in enforcement actions.
