Responsibilities
Sheridan's Public Works Department oversees and/or helps coordinate:
- Building and grounds maintenance
- Sheridan Cleanup Program
- Snow removal and storm routes
- State highways
- Street maintenance and repairs
- Stormwater mandate
- Stormwater pollution
- The street shop
- Utility contacts
- Vehicles and equipment
Safety and Convenience
Sheridan has three state highways located within the City: US-285, Federal Boulevard, and Santa Fe Drive. The Colorado Department of Transportation is responsible for the maintenance and care of those highways and rights of way. This includes:
- Pavement repairs
- Right of way fence repairs
- Snow removal
- Traffic signals
- Weed cutting
