2015 Theme: Sheridan Celebrates Music, The Universal Voice
Sheridan Celebrates is an annual community festival regularly held on the fourth Saturday of September. This year's festival will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015.
Sheridan Celebrates 2015 Will Be Music to Your Ears
The Sheridan Celebrates Committee is already hard at work on the 2015 parade and festival. Several themes were reviewed at the November 20 meeting, and the committee chose one that they believed the community would welcome harmoniously, Sheridan Celebrates Music, the Universal Voice.” This theme provides opportunities for the wonderfully diverse Sheridan Community to share their many musical talents and reflects the sense of solidarity that is experienced each year during the Sheridan Celebrates event. “Music lifts us up no matter who we are or where we come from. We all experience a sense of unity through melody,” shared Eddie Kanoza, Sheridan Celebrates Vice Chair.
The Sheridan Celebrates Committee encourages parade entrants and festival attendees to rally around the 2015 theme, incorporating music and cultural features into their costuming and constructions. Tara Beiter-Fluhr, Sheridan Celebrates Chair, commented “This theme highlights the joy we all get from music. We hope to feature a variety of genres and eras of music that reflect the diversity of our community."
The committee will be bringing back the community-wide project benefitting a local non-profit organization. If you have suggestions or ideas for the Sheridan Celebrates Committee in regards your favorite non-profit, please post them on the Sheridan Celebrates Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SheridanCelebrates or call the hotline at 303-438-3321.
