The City of Sheridan is excited to welcome Police Chief Jeffery Martinez!


Chief Martinez brings great experience to the Sheridan Police Department. Chief Martinez most recently served as the Commander of the Denver Homeland Security Bureau with the Denver Police Department. He started with the Denver Police Department as a Patrol Officer in 1996 and during his 25 years with the Denver Police Department he also served as a Patrol Supervisor, Internal Affairs Bureau Sgt., Gang Bureau Shift Commander, Training Bureau Assistant Director, District and Sector Commander, and Commander of Police District 1. Chief Martinez is widely respected by both his peers in law enforcement and members of the community. His entire career has been about connecting the community he serves, reaching out and working with neighborhood groups, church leaders, business groups and city agencies, Sheridan is very fortunate to be welcoming him as our Chief of Police.
