Metro Mayors Caucus & the Sock It To Em Sock Campaign, in recognition of Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, ask that you support warming and protecting the feet of Denver’s Metropolitan homeless populace this winter. Socks are the #1 clothing need of the homeless. A pair of socks on a homeless person lasts about one week.
Ways for citizens to donate NEW socks for the homeless:
• Drop off NEW socks in collection boxes located at Sheridan City Hall, Sheridan Library and Sheridan Recreation Center
• Drop off NEW socks at drop off locations found on the Sock It To Em Sock Campaign website (sockittoemsockcampaign.org/where-to-donate/)
• Directly deliver NEW socks to shelters and agencies that serve the homeless
NEW socks specifically for women and children may be delivered directly to:
- The Rose Andom Center 1330 Fox St, Denver, CO 80204
- The Gathering Place 1535 N High St, Denver, CO 80218
- A Precious Child 557 Burbank St E, Broomfield, CO 80020
