The Sheridan Police Department Patrol Division is the largest division within the department. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year.

Although patrol work can be unpredictable and hazardous at times, there are many rewards for the officers who work patrol. Patrol officers have many functions within the community and pride themselves on their professionalism, dedication, teamwork, excellent customer service skills, and community partnerships.
